I had a Pyrex sighting while watching a movie, Lazarus Project, with my two teens. In one scene the husband is talking to his wife, who is sitting in front of a hutch and on the hutch I saw a Crazy daisy bowl. I rewound the movie and paused it to look at the bowl, pretty bad huh. I have seen on blogs of others seeing Pyrex in tv shows, guess its in movies too!
Thought I would post my Christmas present:
Its a Promotional piece, Hex signs. My first promotional piece. I saw it at our local Antique store a couple of weeks ago sitting on the floor behind a painting. I knew nothing about it when I saw it, I just liked the pattern. Hubby and I went back to pick out some Pyrex pieces for me as Christmas presents, it was still there. Once we brought it home, I looked on Pyrex Love and found out about it.

Went on a road trip to pick up some Pyrex I won on Ebay. The seller thought I was a bit nuts to drive an hour to pick it up. I took my sister along with me, she didn't mind as she had an ulterior motive to going, can you say Krispy Kremes. I picked up 4 pieces of Pyrex and got a Red velvet doughnut...what more can you ask for!
The two snowflake blue pieces are mint perfect, I paid $10.99 for them both. I paid $12.99 for both the lids. The sunflower lid will go on the casserole I found earlier and is now a complete set.
It was a great day yesterday, spent time with my sister, bought some great Pyrex pieces and ate a Krispy Kreme doughnut, I am one happy camper!

Here are all the bowls I have found while on the hunt locally looking for the Casserole like my Mom's
Also found these Cinderella bowls at a thrift shop. They had the brown bowls together as a set marked $16.99 and the white bowls (it was a set of three with 2 of the small bowls) together as a set marked $17.99. Lucky for me it happened to be 1/2 price day, so I picked up the complete set plus an extra for $17.16. Score! This is my first complete set. Its not my favorite pattern, but it is growing on me!
I found this abused #401 bowl for .99, so I bought it. Its not the best looking bowl, but it works great for mixing up eggs for scrambling.

Well, I have not kept up with this blog, since I have had really nothing to tell. My tea party went well, but unfortunately I really wasn't in the mood for it because I had to put my dog to sleep a few days before. We made fairy wings and had glitter all over everything. Thankfully we held it outside in the back yard, so the glitter was all over the plants and ground. It actually gave my plants a nice look when the morning sun was starting to shine.
Now, I have a new obsession....Pyrex! I got the bug at Thanksgiving. My sister brought over her casserole dish, which happened to be my mom's. It brought back so many memories and I decided I needed to find one. I had a few pieces of Pyrex and really never used them as they were stuck in the back of the cabinets. Above is the Pyrex I originally started out with, plus a Verde #403 Bowl. (It has jello salad in it and I left it at my sister's house, so it wasn't available for the photo) I bought the 3 bowls about 10 years ago as a set, now I have found out it isn't a complete set and the #403 bowl doesn't belong to the set. I bought the Butterprint #473 casserole years ago because I thought it was cute and I liked the pattern. So to prepare me for the hunt, I looked at Ebay and read some great blogs (drooling over other peoples collections). I went out hunting........
Here's all the casseroles I found: The Verde one is the one like my mom's. All were found locally except the Verde one I bought it off Ebay.
